Dress Code

Eagle Dress Code

Students are expected to present themselves in a neat, well-groomed manner during the school day.  This includes all school functions and the bus.  Nothing relative to appearance or behavior that is a distraction to the learning environment will be tolerated.  Violations are reported to the office daily.

 

EGMS- Quick Reference Dress Code Policy 2018-19

 

TOPS

• Black, white, red (not maroon), and navy long or short-sleeved collared polo style shirts.

• “Spirit Shirts” purchased from the school office may be worn on any day of the week. “Spirit shirts” that are homemade or purchased from a place other than EGMS may be worn on Friday ONLY. 

 

BOTTOMS:

• School approved khaki or navy slacks or shorts, skirts, skorts or Capri pants. 

• Boys - shorts should be no longer than 1” below the top of the knee. May not wear swim or fishing shorts

• No jeggings or drawstring pants are permitted - NO SPANDEX OR SKINNY FIT -like pants/capris.

• Girls – School approved plaid (red/navy) or navy pleated skirt or jumper. Skirts, shorts and jumpers should be long enough to reach the tip of the girl’s longest fingers when arms are at her side.

• Cargo style shorts/pants or painter pants will not be allowed. ALL pants/shorts must have belt loops

 

OUTERWEAR:

• School approved solid navy blue, solid black, solid red, or solid gray waist-length coats or sweaters only. 

• EGMS letter jackets are acceptable.

• NO HOODIES. School approved navy blue, red, gray, black, or white sweatshirt/pull over. 

• NO OVERSIZED LOGOS, LABELS, or NAME BRAND JACKETS. NO FLOOR LENGTH COATS or OVERSIZED JACKETS. NO BLUE JEAN or DENIM JACKETS

 

SHOES:

• Shoes must be worn at all times, preferably tennis shoes. 

• No SOCCER SANDALS beach shoes, flip-flops, slides or house shoes.

• All sandals must have a substantial strap (Minimum of 2”) across the tops and/or a strap on the back. No shower shoes or house shoes

 

ACCESSORIES:

• Belts must be worn at all times. Belt buckles should not be oversized, ornamental, electronic or displaying inappropriate/suggestive symbols or language.

• No BANDANA’s of any color will be permitted to be worn.

• Beanies may be worn outside during cold weather days only.

• No body piercings or un-natural hair color permitted
